Hi! My name is Sam.

It’s my goal to make your job at ARC better. We’ll get to the “how” in just a minute, but first, the brief backstory:

I worked at ARC from 2010 to 2014 with the title of office ninja. I left in September of 2014 to start a business, and ended up with two companies, one of which I recently shut down due to the arrival of my second daughter. So now, I’m a stay at home mom, business owner, and research nerd. I love working with people, I love creating spaces where people can thrive, and I love small business.

I have a particular interest in how small business “teams” work together, so Donovan and I have been collaborating on ways to make ARC a better place to work. Spurred by your internal team meeting based around a potential new hire, Donovan wanted to be sure the momentum gained at that discussion was furthered.

Now for the “how”:

The questions below are meant to support this ongoing momentum, and your answers are completely anonymous (meaning I won’t know who you are, and your answers won’t be shared with anyone at ARC). This information is important, and your honest feedback is incredibly valuable. A few things to note before you begin:

  • As mood certainly affects how we provide feedback, please answer these questions on a day where your mood is fairly neutral (so neither your birthday nor a day that your cat is sick).

  • We’d like to have this form completed by next Friday, August 9th.

  • Please complete the form in one sitting; allocate about 15-30 minutes depending on how detailed you’d like to be.

  • The more detail, the better able my team will be to make appropriate recommendations regarding workplace improvement. Again, all feedback will be kept anonymous.
